Interview with 3Beatz Entertainment

Thanks again for tuning into the latest version of my blog called "Born To Be A Bo$$" where this week I took a quick 5 with Peter Jarjees on his entertainment company called "3BeatZ Entertainment" so as always....LET'S GET TO IT!!!

Forde Esq: How's it going Pete?!?

Pete: Good thanks, yourself?!?

Forde Esq: Not too shabby. So we'll get straight into it shall we?!?

Pete: Let's do it!

Forde Esq: Ok so where did you get the idea of your company from?!?

Pete: I got the idea back in school when I was hanging with my friends actually, we were trying to find parties where they won't get shut down or gate crashed. Then I came up with an idea of having a big party but I knew that I had to find a way to make it legit and to make sure there wont be any gate crashers or anything. I wanted to start holding parties where youth kids can go to every school holiday and party without having the worry of it being shut down or gate crashed. Thats when 3BeatZ was created.

Forde Esq: Great idea! I bet your popularity levels went through the roof after the first gig. So what is it that 3BeatZ actually provide as a company?

Pete: I run & manage 3BeatZ Entertainment, I am also now organizing Dream U18 Events in Brisbane. I work part time at Factorie as a hobby at Chermside & I'm looking to open another business in online promotion. 3BeatZ provides under 18 kids in queensland a safe & exciting place to party every school holidays, with attracting more then 1000 people to every event, our aim is to give every highschool student a certain place they can catch up, dance, party or even chill with all their friends during the school holidays.

Forde Esq: You sound like your busy young man. How do you find the time for all this at that age?!? 

Pete: I take it all in my stride Clint. I don't take nothing else on board before I good and ready. I don't like to rush into things without giving it my undivided attention.

Forde Esq: Spoken like a true entrepreneur! I admire your work ethic son! So how are you guys doing so far?!?

Pete: 3BeatZ at the moment is going really well! We are now partnering up with Profyle Entertainment to bring Dream U18's Festival to Brisbane every school holiday. At the moment we are at our Peak and we are only going to go bigger & better!

Forde Esq: Bigger and better...I like the sound of that. So what's next in the pipeline for you guys. Can you give us an exclusive?!?

Pete: Yes! Dream U18's Festival Launch Party which will be held on the 16th of December with DJ Nino Brown, DJ Kronic, Fortafy & Big Ryat (Tpains main Krumper/dancer) which will be held at Magic City Superclub (2500+ capacity). 6-11 hope to see you there!!

Forde Esq: Sounds sick! So where you do yourself and 3Beatz in 5 years time from now?!?

Pete: In 5 years time I see myself living off what i love doing - 3BeatZ Events, Dream Events etc. We are starting to hold events now every school holidays & we are also going to start our "3BeatZ House Party Packages" by next year. Let us organize your house party for under $400!! I would also like to get my hands on some over 18 events in clubs soon too. So watch this space!! haha

Interview With MuesliForMe

Here we go again folks...Part 4 of my blog entitled "Born To Be A Bo$$". This time I got given the opportunity to pick the brain of young entrepreneur and fellow co founder of "MuesliForMe" Sean Pieres about his recent experiences in the business world.

Forde Esq: Hey Sean, what's good?

Sean: Busy as always with work, life etc. Things ok with you?!?

Forde Esq: Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for asking. So you know how this works right?

Sean: Yep...Fire away!

Forde Esq: Ok then. First question then.....So where did you get the idea of your company from?!?

Sean:  The idea for "Muesli For Me" was thought up by another co founder of the business Nathan whilst he was in Germany when he was eating Muesli over breakfast and witnessed the 'Dollar Shave Club' video on Youtube and the thought it was a great concept that could be applied towards Muesli lovers across Australia.

Forde Esq: I love that advert! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QReHMtExWRA). So with that idea in mind, what is it that you guys actually provide?!?

Sean: We service muesli enthusiasts with customised muesli packages chosen to their taste preference. Customers can shop online via our website and choose what type of muesli package they require and they get it shipped to their door once a month for one off fee.

Forde Esq: Awesome. So there's no need to go down the breakfast aisle each week is there?

Sean: Exactly! All the hassle is taken away for you once you've chosen what you want. If you fancy a change then you can change your subscription to match your taste buds.

Forde Esq: If only everything in life was like that haha. So how are you guys performing at the moment.

Sean: We've grown a solid base of subscribers within the first 3 months of opening our business which is pretty good going for a start up company. Since then we've been taking orders from all across Australia and our name and reputation is ever improving.

Forde Esq: That's good going. So where are you guys looking to go on from here then?!?

Sean: We are expanding our ingredients range to other fruits that customers have requested and suggested and were also in the midst of creating a promotional video to expand the brand of Muesli For Me. Were also getting involved in more charity initiatives to help people understand the benefits of consuming Muesli on a regular basis.

Forde Esq: Sounds like you've got alot ahead of you guys. So where do you see Muesli For Me in 5 years time?!?

Sean: We want to service most of the Australian muesli population (about 30% of australians eat muesli) and also provide muesli servicing to corporate companies and  businesses alike with breakfast incentives to help better work productivity and ensure people are in work on time in the morning.

Interview with 5 StarWorld

Next up, I got the opportunity to catch up with Phil Richards who is a sports entertainment based entrepreneur from Coventry, West Midlands. Phil's business provides sports lovers and enthusiasts in the midlands area with the opportunity to take part in host of sports while sampling a taste of the good life in his organisations showbiz events ran throughout the course of the year....I should know, i've taken part in a few of them myself!!! So without further hesitation here we go:

Forde Esq: How's it going Phil

Phil: Not to bad mate...How's Sydney treating you?!?

Forde Esq: Better than Coventry I imagine?!?

Phil: Hahaha probably. So come on then, pester away!

Forde Esq: Ok then...So how did it all start out for you then?!?

Phil: The birth of the 5Star brand came when I was 17 years old and embarked on my career as a personal trainer where I named by company "5Star Fitness".  I then moved on to "5Star Security" working with upscale nightclubs and classy bars all across the midlands which then led up to what my company is now called "5Star Entertainment". My ultimate goal is to use the name to build as a brand for all the ventures I undertake.

Forde Esq: So every business you launch will be under or associated with the 5Star brand then i.e. 5star Footwear for example?!?

Phil: Exactly. Once people connect with the brand they will be able to follow us on each venture we undertake.

Forde Esq: Clever! So what is it that "5Star Entertainment" actually does then?!?

Phil: WOW, good question… Well the hub of my business or the bread and butter as the saying goes is my 5 A Side football leagues however I like to think of myself as an innovator so I have applied a little sprinkle of Entertainment to the normal format of leisure football so I have basically tried to apply what we see in WWE wrestling, the PDC darts and even the Barclays Premiership Football league so what I give my customers is so much more than rival companies, I call it that personal touch.

Forde Esq: I see, so football players are allowed to body slam people on the pitch then?!?

Phil: Not quite Clint. What I mean is that we provide our customers if you like with the opportunity to be entertained by fellow players and by themselves. We interview players, record games, provide match analysis and provide live interaction with teams and players via social media and our website which gives us that edge over other leisure league providers.

Forde Esq: That's a nice touch. I bet the players must love it.

Phil: They certainly get their money's worth that's for sure.

Forde Esq: I'm sure they do. So how has the company been doing so far since you've started it?!?

Phil: We have had great success now for 6 years and more the economic climate has of course affected business and has presented many challenges and hurdles to overcome but I am an entrepreneur so I am always looking to add to my business portfolio and through the hard times I have always been able to prosper and keep my business moving forwards..."Never Give Up" as they say. We've gone on from strength to strength by providing customers with 2 nights of fast paced and entertaining football action alongside monthly competitions and social events for players, partners and friends to attend to keep all involved with the brand.

Forde Esq: **Raised eyebrows** Man, you cover a lot of ground don't you?!?

Phil: We aim to please son, we aim to please!

Forde Esq: I'm sure you do. So there must be more to come in the future then?!?

Phil: Oh for sure…. 2013 we will see big things from 5Star Entertainment we are already expanding on the sport and leisure front launching new Snooker leagues, Gaming Leagues, Poker Seasons and more. There is a project called "The Network" that I am in the lab developing as we speak but it’s top secret so you’ll have to wait to hear about that one and I mustn’t forget to mention that we are starting our own clothing label which is called DBB Clothing so watch out for that. I may even send you some pieces to represent along your travels so yeah I am fully focused and expecting big things from my company and me in the near future.

Forde Esq: Ah man. I can never say no to clothes bro...make sure you get my size. You gonna cater to the "Big + Sexy" range?!?

Phil: Hahaha of course man, we got everybody covered.

Forde Esq: I'm looking forward to that. So before I leave you to get back to it....where do you see 5Star in 5 years time?!?

Phil: In 5 years’ time I will be inviting you onto my yacht in Monaco for a glass of the finest haha but seriously I just want to be successful and create a legacy that will make my children proud and hopefully a business they one day will take over. One things for sure I will never stop chasing my dreams and I know I will get where I need to be in 5 years so I guess I’ll see you in Monaco.

Forde Esq: Sounds like a plan my man. I'll bring the champagne!!

Interview with Minikin Mania

Round 2 of the "Born To Be A Bo$$" special and this time around I caught up with Yasmin Walter. The young model from Perth, Western Australia gave me a quick insight into her latest business venture that has taken Australia by storm.

Forde Esq: How's it going?!?

Yasmin: Good thanks, yourself?!?

Forde Esq: Not too bad

Yasmin: So what do you wanna know?!?

Forde Esq: So direct aren't you?!?

Yasmin: Well you know, I got things to do, people to see...you know how it is

Forde Esq: Erm yeah..kinda?!? Anyways, so where did you get the idea for your company then Yas?!? I can call you Yas right?!?

Yasmin: Yeah of course.....It was fate really. I was on holiday in Malaysia and I saw the product and I fell in love with it instantly. I wanted to have one for my own personal use and saw a sign that said distribution wanted in Australia so I jumped on it.

Forde Esq: Nice....so you saw an opportunity and you grabbed it then?!?

Yasmin: Yeah pretty much, sometimes life throws you a lemon so you gotta make lemonade right?!?

Forde Esq: Or Lemon cake?!?

Yasmin: Stay focussed Clint!

Forde Esq: Sorry! Was too busy thinking about food. So...what is your role within your organisation?!?

Yasmin: Im the sole distributor in Australia for customised bobble heads. I generate and process orders from all over Australia. We've now developed a website single handedly where customers can go design what they want for their order and it gets delivered direct to their door without any hassle.

Forde Esq: Impressive. So how's the company doing at the moment then?!?

Yasmin:  Its such a niche product, its popularity is increasing rapidly due to the use of celebrity promotional bobbleheads. Sometimes it all depends on who's in fashion at the moment for example Kim Kardashian has been a very popular choice lately.

Forde Esq: There's no surprise. I bet Kanye loves the way her head bobbles **wink wink**

Yasmin: Hahahaha Clint!

Forde Esq: She always "a-head of the game"...ok I'll stop now!!! So is there anything new and exciting for yoour business that we should look forward to?!?

Yasmin: We are working on a fully automated website that will make ordering easier and more fun! Our aim is to make the customers journey as easy and painless as possible so they come back and use our service again and again.

Forde Esq: Cool...so lastly, where do your see your company in 5 years time?!?

Yasmin: Hopefully expanding our orders overseas into different parts of Asia / New Zealand and then who know's.

Forde Esq: Brilliant...cheers for that Yasmin, you've been great.

Interview with CherryBomb-Boutique

Hey folks and welcome to the first of many additions of the self-entitled blog "Born To Be A Boss" where I take a quick 5 minute break out of my busy schedule to catch up with entrepreneurs from around the globe on their business and aspirations. This week I caught up with Ashlee Norris who has started her own company which supplies a wide range of shoes for women! So with out further a due we'll get straight into it shall we?!?
 
FordeEsq: Hey Ashlee, how's it going?
 
Ash: Good thanks Clint. Yourself?
 
FordeEsq: Can't complain...which is strange for me!
Ash: That's a first!
 
FordeEsq: Yh (chuckles)
 
Ash: So what do you wanna know then?
 
FordeEsq: Well I've managed to summarise what I want to hear from 5 straight forward questions so let's see how we go shall we?
 
Ash: Sounds cool
 
FordeEsq: Great stuff. Ok then so where did you get the idea of your company from? 
 
Ash: CherryBomb-Boutique came about when I started customising old shoes from my previous business called Getthrifty.co.uk where I kept getting repeatedly asked by customers for similar styles of shoes. With the amount of requests I had coming through it made sense to just give the people what they wanted!
 
FordeEsq: Such a crowd pleaser aren't you Ash?
 
Ash: You gotta give the people what they want. It's all about supply and demand hahaha
 
FordeEsq: Indeed! I think you might be onto something here haha. Next question so what is it that you company does and what services does it provide?
 
Ash: CherryBomb create fashionable shoes ready to order. This is perfect if you have an outfit and want matching shoes or shoes to compliment that great figure of yours. We also customised and revamp old shoes to make them look like their fresh out of the box. We might even be able to do something for you Clint?
 
FordeEsq: Oh really?!?
 
Ash: Yh..all for the right fee of course..."mates rates"
 
FordeEsq: I'll have to put your skills to the test! So how is your company doing at this moment in time especially with all the vast amount of competition in this sector?!?
 
Ash: Really well, orders are constantly coming in and we have a 2-3 week waiting list for all orders. We are already taking Christmas orders. Cherrybomb has also been featured on blogs and seen on celebrities.
 
FordeEsq: Nice work! Getting amongst the celebrity action as well I see. That exposure must of done you the world of good right?!?
 
Ash: Yes it really open up some doors for us and helped our brand get out there.
 
FordeEsq: Good stuff, so is there anything new and upcoming we should look forward to in the near future?
 
Ash: CherryBomb are always working hard to create new looks. Stunning designs and uniqueness to every. CherryBomb started in the summer 2012 so we had a huge portfolio of summer footwear. We are now working on winter wardrobe footwear such as boots, trainers and comfortable flats. We have also added bags to our collection which again opens up a whole other market of the retail world.
 
FordeEsq: Sweet. You'll be going global next. Last question, where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
 
Ash:  Not only customising shoes, but creating shoes. and becoming a well recognised shoe designer. This time next year we want to be the name on everybody's lips when it comes to picking those favourite pair of shoes or that fantastic bag to die for.
